Badru Umi

Badru Umi is a well-known figure in the West Coast Hip Hop Music Industry/Culture. First established a name for himself in the world of Urban Art as Kemp One of the Kings With Styles crew in the mid-1980s, then later graduated from writing on buses & walls, to designing logos, album covers & flyers. Badru also Co-Founder of the 2000 Crows crew soon began to promote local Hip Hop venues such as the Request line with then Project Blowed GM, J Smoov. From there he has gone on to host & promote events across the United States and around the World, eventually moving on to work for various major labels such as Def Jam Recordings, Interscope, Sony & Bad Boy Records.

Badru now known also as the "Good King" has risen to the ranks of General Manager of Project Blowed recordings. Badru is best recognized for his constant efforts to further the careers of Major, Indie & upcoming Hip hop artists. Through the years he has worked with many relevant artists & musicians to put out many classic Hip Hop albums.
