Bacon Brothers (gangsters)

Bacon Brothers (gangsters)

The Bacon Brothers, Jonathan (died August 14, 2011), Jarrod, and Jamie Bacon, are a trio of notorious gangsters, suspected of multiple firearms and drug trafficking charges and implicated in a rash of homicides that have occurred in the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver area. They are under police protection, and have filed a complaint against the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

In 2005, an attempted murder charge against Jarrod Bacon was stayed after the victim refused to testify at trial. In 2005, police seized more than 700 marijuana plants and various pieces of pot-growing equipment and charged Jarrod and a friend with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Jamie pleaded guilty to robbery in 2007 in connection with a 2005 home invasion where a man was confined in his Abbotsford home and robbed of marijuana plants and growing-operation equipment. He was sentenced to time served.

Famous quotes containing the words bacon and/or brothers:

... we see the poor as a mass of shadow, painted in one flat grey wash, at the remote edges of our sunshine.
    —Albion Fellows Bacon (1865–1933)

When we choose to be parents, we accept another human being as part of ourselves, and a large part of our emotional selves will stay with that person as long as we live. From that time on, there will be another person on this earth whose orbit around us will affect us as surely as the moon affects the tides, and affect us in some ways more deeply than anyone else can. Our children are extensions of ourselves in ways our parents are not, nor our brothers and sisters, nor our spouses.
    Fred Rogers (20th century)
