Back On Top (Van Morrison Album)

Back on Top is the twenty-seventh studio album by Northern Irish singer/songwriter Van Morrison. It was released in 1999 by Point Blank. This album marks a slight return to the forms of music he is most known for: blues and R&B. Rolling Stone reviews it as one Monet: "When the Leaves Come Falling Down" (which it calls a masterpiece) and nine Norman Rockwell's.

The 29 January 2008 reissued and remastered version of the album contains an alternative take of "Philosopher's Stone" and a new arrangement of Fats Domino's song, "Valley of Tears".

Famous quotes containing the words top and/or morrison:

In a famous Middletown study of Muncie, Indiana, in 1924, mothers were asked to rank the qualities they most desire in their children. At the top of the list were conformity and strict obedience. More than fifty years later, when the Middletown survey was replicated, mothers placed autonomy and independence first. The healthiest parenting probably promotes a balance of these qualities in children.

The selective memory isn’t selective enough.
