Bach Ma National Park

Bach Ma National Park (Vietnamese: Vườn quốc gia Bạch Mã) is a protected area in central Vietnam, near the city of Hué. It covers 220 km² and comprises three zones: a strictly protected core area, an administrative area and a buffer zone.

As of 2004, the park is being considered for expansion in order to create a larger protected area that will create a corridor from the border with Laos to the sea.

Famous quotes containing the words bach, national and/or park:

Music is the effort we make to explain to ourselves how our brains work. We listen to Bach transfixed because this is listening to a human mind.
    Lewis Thomas (b. 1913)

Let us put an end to self-inflicted wounds. Let us remember that our national unity is a most priceless asset. Let us deny our adversaries the satisfaction of using Vietnam to pit Americans against Americans.
    Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)

The label of liberalism is hardly a sentence to public igominy: otherwise Bruce Springsteen would still be rehabilitating used Cadillacs in Asbury Park and Jane Fonda, for all we know, would be just another overweight housewife.
    Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)
