Azamgarh is connected with Lucknow (268 km) and Delhi (761 km)by road. It has a one of the biggest bus depot in eastern UP and buses ply to almost all district headquarters of UP and also to national capital Delhi regularly.
By train
Azamgarh is one of the most Important Stations of eastern UP. Azamgarh is directly connected to Delhi by kaifiyat express and directly connected to Mumbai by Godaan express, Ahmedabad, state capital Lucknow, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Amritsar.
By air
Azamgarh has newly setup Airport, which is Kandharapur Airport, Situated 9 KM lasting from city.Newly setup airport is not in service, which will come in flow shortly .And nearest big airport is Lal Bahadur Shashtri International Airport commonly known as Babatpur Airport (Varanasi) located at a distance of 100 km from Azamgarh.
