Avalon Rare Metals

Avalon Rare Metals Inc. is a mineral development company focused on rare metal deposits in Canada. Its flagship project, the 100%-owned Nechalacho Deposit at Thor Lake, Northwest Territories, is exceptional in its large size and enrichment in the scare 'heavy' rare earth elements (HREE), key to enabling advances in clean technology and other growing high-tech applications. With a positive feasibility study completed, Nechalacho is now the most advanced potential large new source of heavy rare earths in the world outside of China, currently the source of 95% of the world supply. Avalon states its corporate mission as the following: "The Company will create shareholder value and community prosperity through the development of scalable, multi-generational businesses that will deliver quality rare metal products to customers while remaining committed to the principles of sustainable practices, effective partnerships, and high performance in all aspects of its operations and business practices."

Famous quotes containing the words rare and/or metals:

Men are always thinking that they are going to do something grandly wicked to their enemies; but when it comes to the point, really bad men are just as rare as really good ones.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

As in digging for precious metals in the mines, much earthy rubbish has first to be troublesomely handled and thrown out; so, in digging in one’s soul for the fine gold of genius, much dullness and common-place is first brought to light.
    Herman Melville (1819–1891)
