The Australian Mini Challenge was a touring car racing category in Australia. First held in 2008, the Mini Challenge supported both the V8 Supercar Championship Series and the Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series. The category is managed by Toleman Motorsport, who took over management rights following the demise of previous rights holder, Sherrin Motorsport. Late in 2010, BMW announced the withdrawal of its support of the series.
In 2011 the series competitors were thrown a life line and invited to compete in the Australian Manufacturers' Championship calling the series the AMC Mini Cup. The only change to rules was running on radial tyres and adding dry brake fueling systems to cars for long distance events. 2011 class pointscore was won by the only series regular Beric Lynton. There were however only three teams who competed all season, the other two being the Sherrins Rentals team and Brendan Cook's. All three cars never attended the same round however, and some rounds there was only one car.

“Beyond the horizon, or even the knowledge, of the cities along the coast, a great, creative impulse is at workthe only thing, after all, that gives this continent meaning and a guarantee of the future. —Vance Palmer (18851959)
“Our challenge as parents is to be patient enough to allow our children to take ten minutes to do something that would take us two seconds. We need to allow our children to develop what I call their struggle muscle. This is developed the same way any other muscle develops, through regular exercise.”
