The Australian mind, I can state with authority, is easily boggled.
    Charles Osborne (b. 1927)

All science requires mathematics. The knowledge of mathematical things is almost innate in us.... This is the easiest of sciences, a fact which is obvious in that no one’s brain rejects it; for laymen and people who are utterly illiterate know how to count and reckon.
    Roger Bacon (c. 1214–c. 1294)

The well-educated young woman of 1950 will blend art and sciences in a way we do not dream of; the science will steady the art and the art will give charm to the science. Ellen Henrietta Swallow Richards (1842–1911)

    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)
