The Abominable Snowman (Carl Hanson) is a character in the Marvel Comics universe.

The character, created by Jack Kirby and an uncredited writer, first appeared was in Tales to Astonish #13 (November 1960).

Within the context of the stories, Carl Hanson is an adventure who steals a photograph of the Abominable Snowman and attempts to track the creature down. Not accepting advise from others that the photo is cursed, he slowly trans forms into the creature during his search.

A similarly designed character appears in the story "Creature Feature" by Keith Giffen and Eduardo Francisco published in Nick Fury's Howling Commandos #2 (January 2006). In the context of that story he is a member of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Paranormal Containment Unit.
