Oil From The Weeping Images
Oil was tested in the Kraft Lab and H.S. Laboratory. The results were olive oil with no fingerprint and no origin. It was 75% olive oil and the remaining 25% was unidentifiable. Other independent tests concluded different results. One sample, ordered by the Washington Post and tested in a Pittsburgh laboratory, concluded it to be 80% vegetable oil and 20% chicken fat.

Famous quotes containing the words oil, weeping and/or images:
“I bade, because the wick and oil are spent
And frozen are the channels of the blood....”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
“And now where ere he strayes
Among the Galilaean mountains,
Or more unwelcome wayes,
Hees followd by two faithfull fountaines,
Two walking Baths, two weeping motions;
Portable and compendious Oceans.”
—Richard Crashaw (1613?1649)
“Language, the machine of the poet, is best fitted for his purpose in its rudest state. Nations, like individuals, first perceive, and then abstract. They advance from particular images to general terms. Hence the vocabulary of an enlightened society is philosophical, that of a half-civilised people is poetical.”
—Thomas Babington Macaulay (18001859)
