Athletics

Auburn moved to the SPSL (South Puget Sound League) 3A in the fall of 2006. After only two years in the SPSL 3A Auburn along with Auburn Riverside moved to back to 4A as of fall 2008. Auburn became part of the SPSL-North, returning to the same league they left after 2005.

Sports offered at Auburn are: Boys Tennis, Boys Water Polo, Cross Country, Football, Girls Soccer, Girls Swimming/Diving, Golf, Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Boys Swimming/Diving, Girls Basketball, Gymnastics, Wrestling, Baseball, Boys Soccer, Girls Fastpitch, Girls Tennis, Girls' Water Polo, Track and Field, and FIRST Robotics. Auburn High School has a Sports Medicine Program.

An October 2007 video of cheerleader Cali Kaltschmidt getting trampled by the football team as she attempted to adjust the banner before they ran through during a game became a viral video. Cali got a "web redemption" in Season One of Tosh.0. During the fall of 2011, the Auburn High Trojans lost to the Auburn Riverside Ravens for the first time in schools history.
