Overview
In the early 1960s, Jacques Gatien visited trade fairs and exhibitions in Quebec to appraise new kitchen gadgets. He then established Atlantic Promotions in 1965. Starting modestly, it used infomercials and other television advertising to increase its market. Its television commercials and infomercials are now broadcast across Canada. The company not only distributes products from other companies, but it also manufactures its own products under brands such as Starfrit and Oskar (now owned by Freudenberg) and Vitagro. Atlantic Promotions also operates offices in Toronto and Vancouver.
