The Arthur Highway (A9) is a Tasmanian highway which runs from Sorell in the near south to Port Arthur in the far south-east.
It is notorious for crashes and was the focus of a media campaign to make it safer until late 2004, where it was superseded in danger by the equally notorious Lyell Highway.
Famous quotes containing the words arthur and/or highway:
“Our ideas must be as broad as Nature if they are to interpret Nature.”
—Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (18591930)
“The highway leads to Heaven, but each finds his own way.”
—Chinese proverb.
