Arghakhanchi District
Arghakhanchi is one of the districts of Lumbini Zone, Western Region, Nepal. The district headquarter is at Sandhikharka. The district covers an area of 1,23,272 (DDC, 2010). The altitude of the district varies from 305 to 2515 meter above the sea level. Its neighboring districts are, Palpa in the east, Gulmi in the North, Kapilbastu in the south and Pyuthan in the west. About 68% of the total area lies in the Mahabharat Range, and the remaining belongs to the Siwalik Region. The famous places are Supa Deurali (Supa Deurali Temple), Argha(MahaKali Temple) and Chhatraganj (temple). Almost 40% of the district area is covered by forest.
