Famous quotes containing the words arctic, monkeys, tour and/or history:

    Does the first wild-goose care
whether the others follow or not?
I don’t think so he is so happy to be off
he knows where he is going
so we must be drawn or we must fly,
like the snow-geese of the Arctic circle.
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)

The monkeys winked too much and were afraid of snakes. The zebras,
supreme in their abnormality; the elephants with their fog-colored skin
    and strictly practical appendages
    Marianne Moore (1887–1972)

Do you know I believe that [William Jennings] Bryan will force his nomination on the Democrats again. I believe he will either do this by advocating Prohibition, or else he will run on a Prohibition platform independent of the Democrats. But you will see that the year before the election he will organize a mammoth lecture tour and will make Prohibition the leading note of every address.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

When the history of guilt is written, parents who refuse their children money will be right up there in the Top Ten.
    Erma Brombeck (20th century)
