Early Life and Career
Archana was born in Andhra Pradesh into a Telugu speaking family. She is a graduate in acting from the Tamil Nadu Institute of Film Technology. She made her acting debut with the 1973 Hindi film, Yaadon Ki Baaraat.
She then acted in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam language films, under directors such as B. Narsing Rao, Balu Mahendra, P. N. Menon, Shankar Nag and Vamsi.
