Application Bundle - OS X Loadable Bundles

OS X Loadable Bundles

Loadable bundles are bundles which contain code that can be loaded at runtime. Loadable bundles usually have the extension .bundle and are most often used as plug-ins. An example of an application that traditionally supports bundles is Apple Mail. On OS X there is a way to load bundles even into applications that don't support them allowing for third party hacks for popular applications such as Safari.

Famous quotes containing the word bundles:

He bundles every forkful in its place,
And tags and numbers it for future reference,
So he can find and easily dislodge it
In the unloading. Silas does that well.
He takes it out in bunches like birds’ nests.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)
