The annual softball game in Washington, D.C., between the teams affiliated with the Washington State GOP and the Washington State Democrats is also commonly referred to as the "Apple Cup." The teams compete in the House of Representatives softball league, and the GOP team has won the Apple Cup for the past 3 years.
