Educational Philosophy
Brightening One Corner is the educational philosophy of Anyang University. This philosophy promotes the belief that one's dormant self can be woken up with greatness that can brighten one's life and, by extension, one's surroundings when one accepts and appreciates who one is, where one is and what one does.
This philosophy guides and encourages individuals to practice introspection, to pay attention to every moment in daily life, to speculate on the causes of one's existence and to commit to life.

Famous quotes containing the words educational and/or philosophy:
“We do not have to get our children to learn; only to allow and encourage them in their learning. We do not have to dictate what they should learn; only to discern and respond to what it is that they are learning. Such responsiveness is at once the most educational and the most loving.”
—Polly Berrien Berends (20th century)
“While youre playing cards with a regular guy or having a bite to eat with him, he seems a peaceable, good-humoured and not entirely dense person. But just begin a conversation with him about something inedible, politics or science, for instance, and he ends up in a deadend or starts in on such an obtuse and base philosophy that you can only wave your hand and leave.”
—Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (18601904)
