AnsaldoBreda was formed in 2001 by the merger of Ansaldo Trasporti and Breda Costruzioni Ferroviarie, and is part of the Finmeccanica holding. It has production sites on four locations in Italy: Naples, Reggio Calabria, Palermo, and Pistoia. The company employs 2,400 people in total. Since 2008, Salvatore Bianconi is the Chief Executive Officer of AnsaldoBreda.
