Annie, Lady de Sausmarez

Annie Elizabeth, Lady de Sausmarez GBE (1856/1857 –15 March 1947), often called Lady de Sausmarez, even after she was created a dame, née Annie Elizabeth Mann, was a British philanthropist who was president of the British Women's Work Association in China from 1914 to 1919.

For this she was appointed Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire (GBE) in the 1920 civilian war honours.

Born in Guernsey, she was the daughter of a clergyman. In 1897 she married Sir Havilland de Sausmarez, 1st Baronet, Judge of the British Supreme Court for China (based in Shanghai) from 1905 to 1921 and Bailiff of Guernsey from 1922 to 1929. She died at her home in Guernsey, aged 90.
