Annette Vadim

Annette Vadim (née Strøyberg; 7 December 1936 – 12 December 2005) was a Danish actress who was the second wife of the French film director Roger Vadim. Her films included Vadim's Les Liaisons Dangereuses (1959).

Annette Strøyberg was born on Funen Island, Denmark. In 1958, aged 21, she appeared in the film Les bijoutiers du clair de lune, directed by Roger Vadim, starring Gérard Philipe and Jeanne Moreau. During this production, she and Roger Vadim, a recent divorcee, fell in love and married on 17 June 1958. They had a daughter, Nathalie Vadim, who was born in Denmark and herself became an actress. They divorced in 1960. And Vadim kept their daughter.

She died of cancer in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 12 December 2005, aged 69.
