Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church - Worship

Worship

The worship of the Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church is dignified and sacramental. It differs from other Lutheran churches by recognizing and celebrating the seven sacraments. The primary liturgy of the ALCC is from the Book of Divine Worship, a book of rites authorized by Vatican and used by Anglican Use parishes of the Roman Catholic Church. Any other rites currently approved and authorized for use by the Roman Catholic Church are also used by ALCC clergy. Anglican, Lutheran, and other Protestant rites are not authorized for use by ALCC clergy.

Famous quotes containing the word worship:

The eastern light our spires touch at morning,
The light that slants upon our western doors at evening,
The twilight over stagnant pools at batflight,
Moon light and star light, owl and moth light,
    Glow-worm glowlight on a grassblade.
O Light Invisible, we worship Thee!
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

My religion is no garment to be put on and off with the weather. You had better know that, all of you. I shall worship as I please and hope for all men to worship as they please in Scotland.
    Dudley Nichols (1895–1960)

Almost like a god looking at her terribly out of the everlasting dark, she had felt the eyes of that horse; great glowing, fearsome eyes, arched with a question, and containing a white blade of light like a threat. What was his non-human question, and his uncanny threat? She didn’t know. He was some splendid demon, and she must worship him.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)
