Anglican Pacifist Fellowship - Work With Other Groups

Work With Other Groups

The American branch of APF is known as the Episcopal Peace Fellowship. The Fellowship is a member body of the Peace Education Network, Network of Christian Peace Organisations, War Resisters International and of the International Peace Bureau. Indeed, Roberta Bacic, a survivor of the Pinochet regime in Chile and President of WRI, has worked closely with Fellowship members and written for the APF newsletter.

APF is also a sister of the Roman Catholic peace organisation, Pax Christi, with which it has very close ties.

Famous quotes containing the words work with, work and/or groups:

Those who work their minds rule; those who work with their backs are ruled.
    —Chinese proverb.

    Mencius.

In the wildest nature, there is not only the material of the most cultivated life, and a sort of anticipation of the last result, but a greater refinement already than is ever attained by man.... Nature is prepared to welcome into her scenery the finest work of human art, for she is herself an art so cunning that the artist never appears in his work.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Women over fifty already form one of the largest groups in the population structure of the western world. As long as they like themselves, they will not be an oppressed minority. In order to like themselves they must reject trivialization by others of who and what they are. A grown woman should not have to masquerade as a girl in order to remain in the land of the living.
    Germaine Greer (b. 1939)
