Anderson Regional Airport covers 704 acres (2.85 km2) and has two runways and two helipads:

New Prospect Elementary School is located right across from the airport. The school mascot is the Jets because airplanes can be heard taking off from the airport. It is the headquarters of the Anderson County Civil Air Patrol.
