Time
Andalites use a different calendar than humans, although it still is in years (The Hork-Bajir Chronicles gives the Andalite date). Andalite years are in ten 'periods' or months, and are given like this: 7544.2. One Andalite year is equal to 84 Earth months, or about 8½ Yeerk cycles; as a result, K.A. Applegate has stated that Ax is only three or four Andalite years old, though this is equivalent to the ages of the other Animorphs.
Andalites have a natural internal clock, and know exactly when 2 hours have passed - as reflected by their morphing technology.

Famous quotes containing the word time:
“Dont feel guilty if you dont immediately love your stepchildren as you do your own, or as much as you think you should. Everyone needs time to adjust to the new family, adults included. There is no such thing as an instant parent.
Actually, no concrete object lies outside of the poetic sphere as long as the poet knows how to use the object properly.”
—Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (17491832)
“We went to Mannheim and attended a shivareeotherwise an operathe one called Lohengrin. The banging and slamming and booming and crashing were something beyond belief. The racking and pitiless pain of it remains stored up in my memory alongside the memory of the time that I had my teeth fixed.”
—Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (18351910)
