Anastacia (album)

Anastacia (album)

Anastacia is the eponymous third studio album by American recording artist Anastacia. It was released in Europe and Australia on March 29, 2004 and in Japan on June 9, 2004 and sees a noticeable change in Anastacia's sound from funk pop to pop rock. The album was a commercial smash in Europe ending as the second biggest selling album of the year there and peaking at the top of the albums charts in several countries, including Australia, Belgium, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The album was never released in Anastacia's native United States, despite plans for an August 30, 2005 release with a different track listing from that of the European version, which would replace "Sexy Single" with the B-side "Underground Army". The plans were canceled for unknown reasons. In spite of this, still managed to become the 15th biggest selling album of 2004 globally.
