Remake
The film was later remade in Telugu and titled Kalpana (film)(1977) starring Jayachitra in the title role, and Murali Mohan as the serious writer who falls in love with her. Most of the tunes for the Telugu songs were different from the songs in Hindi film, especially the memorable Telugu song "oka udayamlo."
