Co-Founder of Design Miami:

Design Miami/ is the global forum that brings together the most influential dealers, collectors, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce. Inspired by the galvanizing effect of Art Basel Miami Beach, the founders of Design Miami/ set out to create a design fair unlike any other that came before. They envisioned a new commercial and cultural forum that would capture the thriving general interest in design and elevate appreciation for limited-edition, experimental and historically significant design work, presented within an energetic, visually striking environment. No other design fair had ever attempted such a feat. From its inception, Design Miami/ was intended to be more than just a marketplace for high-end design.Two unique shows is held each year: Design Miami/, every December in Miami, and Design Miami/ Basel every June in Basel, Switzerland.

To hornor the company's 40th year we return to Maya Romanoff's roots in tie dye. Three archival patterns are interpreted in a moder color palette re-imagined by Amy Lau.

•Fire Screen "Bunch of Twigs":

Inspired by nature, this handcrafted steel fire screen is composed of a series of hand bent rods,exemplifying the organic lines of trees.Offered in antique black, and brown finishes.

•Caldera Collection, Amy Lau Design & Heath Ceramic Collection:

Inspired by archival photograph of octagonal Heath tiles, examples of poured glazes and Amy's photograpghs of the Greek Islands. 12 glazes were developed in the spirit of the Mediterranean which captures the tranquility of Oia.

• Kisses from Rothko, Amy Lau Design for Doris Leslie Blau:

Inspired by the artist Mark Rothko's color paletter and abstract expressionism. Circular wool ground rug with silk design.

• Four Season Collection:

Inspired by mid-century design, this 35" focal piece features a corona of colorful enameled florets.Resembling lily pads around a reflective pond, these vibrant petals, in a variety of sizes and spring hues, outline the circular 19" mirror framed in brass.

• Bloody Comfortable (edition of 2) Dexter Limited Edition Collection:

Upholstered/Re-finished by Martin Albert. Embroidered by Leah Picker. White lacquered wood frame upholstered in white ultraleather hand-embroidered with blood design.
