Godless Americans PAC
In November 2005, the Godless Americans Political Committee (GAPAC), an American PAC, was formed to endorse political candidates who support the separation of church and state. Subsequently, atheists have become more outspoken about being an ignored voice in the United States.
The PAC does not want government to associate with religion in any way; it opposes Christmas being a federal holiday or any mention of God on currency or in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Famous quotes containing the words godless and/or americans:
“Incidentally, why was it that none of all the pious ever discovered psycho-analysis? Why did it have to wait for a completely godless Jew?”
—Sigmund Freud (1856–1939)
“If we Americans are to survive it will have to be because we choose and elect and defend to be first of all Americans; to present to the world one homogeneous and unbroken front, whether of white Americans or black ones or purple or blue or green.... If we in America have reached that point in our desperate culture when we must murder children, no matter for what reason or what color, we don’t deserve to survive, and probably won’t.”
—William Faulkner (1897–1962)
