American Association of Airport Executives - History

History

The American Association of Airport Executives was founded in September, 1928, at what is now Los Angeles International Airport. Created by 10 airport directors, it was created as an organization to represent airport management throughout the United States.

Today, AAAE's nearly 5,000 members represent 850 airports and numerous other airport-related corporations and organizations. It maintains six regional affiliate chapters that provide services on a local level.
