Amenophis (band)

Amenophis was a German symphonic rock band that released two albums in the eighties. They were strongly influenced by bands like Yes, Genesis and Camel. They first performed in October 1979, doing a series of live performances before producing their debut album "Amenophis" in 1983. Because of Michael's and Wolfgang's study the band breaking up. They reformed in 1987 and after several live concerts they recorded their second studio album "You and I". Amenophis gave their last live concert in 1989.

Band members in the 1987 incarnation were: Michael Roessmann, Wolfgang Vollmuth, René Kius, Kurt Poppe and Elke Möhrle.
