"Am I Evil?" is a song by British heavy metal band Diamond Head released on their 1980 debut album Lightning to the Nations. The song was written by Sean Harris (the singer) and Brian Tatler (the guitarist) and released on Happy Face Records (the band's own label). The song was immediately popular among the metal circles in the United Kingdom around the time of its release, but only rose to international prominency after thrash metal band Metallica covered it on their 1998 cover album Garage Inc..
