Alois Weber

Alois Weber (30 November 1915 – 19 January 2003) was a Untersturmführer (Second Lieutenant), in the Waffen SS during World War II who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.

Weber was awarded the German Cross in Gold, in April 1943 which was followed by the award of the Knight's Cross on the 30 July 1943, while serving as a Hauptscharführer (Sergeant Major) and platoon commander with the 1st Company, SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment Deutschland, 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich.
