All Aboard The Blue Train

All Aboard the Blue Train is the fourteenth album by singer Johnny Cash. It was originally released on 15 November 1962 by his first label, Sun, and later re-issued in 2003 under the label Varèse Sarabande, with six bonus tracks. In 1962 Johnny Cash had already signed with Columbia Records, but Sun was still cashing in on him by releasing this album with 12 prior released tracks.

Famous quotes containing the words aboard, blue and/or train:

Our Lamaze instructor . . . assured our class . . . that our cervix muscles would become “naturally numb” as they swelled and stretched, and deep breathing would turn the final explosions of pain into “manageable discomfort.” This descriptions turned out to be as accurate as, say a steward advising passengers aboard the Titanic to prepare for a brisk but bracing swim.
    Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)

The blue we bathe in is the blue we breathe. The blue we breathe, I fear, is what we want from life and only find in fiction. For the voyeur, fiction is what’s called going all the way.
    William Gass (b. 1924)

Everything one does in life, even love, occurs in an express train racing toward death. To smoke opium is to get out of the train while it is still moving. It is to concern oneself with something other than life or death.
    Jean Cocteau (1889–1963)
