Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani (Arabic: علي بن عبد الله بن جاسم بن محمد آل ثاني "Ali bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani"), KBE (born 5 June 1895), also known as Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Al Thani for short, was the seventh, sixth if his ancestor, Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani, is not counted since he was a de facto emir who abdicated in favor of his brother, Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, emir of Qatar. Sheikh Ali is also known as the very first emir of Qatar to have migrated and traveled abroad, visiting India, Egypt, Europe, Lebanon and the Levant.
