His fourth book, The Love Dare, was also written with his brother, and spent over 130 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, reaching the number one spot on two different occasions. The Love Dare has sold over 5 million copies, with at least six million copies in print. The book received the Platinum Award (more than 1 million sold) from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) in April 2009. It also won Relationship Book of the Year at ICRS (International Christian Retail Show) and has been named Book of the Year at Family Christian Stores. Now translated into over 30 languages, the Love Dare is quickly expanding to other countries. In October 2011, the novel for Courageous was listed on the New York Times bestsellers list, along with his book The Resolution for Men, which was written with his brother, Stephen. The brothers are currently writing The Love Dare for Parents, due Spring of 2013.

Famous quotes containing the words book and/or career:

My book should smell of pines and resound with the hum of insects.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

What exacerbates the strain in the working class is the absence of money to pay for services they need, economic insecurity, poor daycare, and lack of dignity and boredom in each partner’s job. What exacerbates it in upper-middle class is the instability of paid help and the enormous demands of the career system in which both partners become willing believers. But the tug between traditional and egalitarian models of marriage runs from top to bottom of the class ladder.
    Arlie Hochschild (20th century)
