Aleksey Yakimenko

Aleksey Yakimenko (born 31 October 1983) is a Russian fencer, who won a bronze medal in the team sabre competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens together with Sergey Sharikov, Stanislav Pozdnyakov and Aleksey Dyachenko. He represented Russia again at the 2008 Summer Olympics but did not win a medal. He won another bronze medal in team sabre during the 2006 World Fencing Championships together with Nikolay Kovalev, Aleksey Frosin, and Stanislav Pozdnyakov. He won the 2005 World Fencing Championships in team with Pozdnyakov, Frosin and Dyachenko.

At the 2010 European Fencing Championships, the 2011 European Fencing Championships and the 2012 European Fencing Championships he won gold in the individual sabre event.
