In Sweden, Alec Cartio got introduced to music which led the path to a prosperous career in the entertainment. At 12, he started playing piano and keyboards and at 14 he started a basement synthesizer band inspired by the French electronic music composer Jean Michel Jarre whom Cartio recognizes as his single greatest inspiration to become an artist. The band later reinvented itself as a 1990s boyband, called initially Get Wet with RosengÄrd School mates Michel and Andre and Alec Cartio himself.

The band was renamed Caymen and got signed with record label Sony/BMG Sweden. They released three singles and toured most of North Europe playing at various venues. Caymen had an 8-year run with modest success in the Scandinavian music scene before calling it quits.
