Species and Characters
There are nine playable characters in Albion, all but two of whom must join your party at some point as the plot progresses. In spite of the game giving the initial impression that Albion is a planet of the Iskai, most of these characters are human. A further division exists between Terran humans and Albion's Celtic humans.

Famous quotes containing the words species and, species and/or characters:
“Prostitution is the most hideous of the afflictions produced by the unequal distribution of the worlds goods; this infamy stigmatizes the human species and bears witness against the social organization far more than does crime.”
—Flora Tristan (18031844)
“Books, gentlemen, are a species of men, and introduced to them you circulate in the very best society that this world can furnish, without the intolerable infliction of dressing to go into it. In your shabbiest coat and cosiest slippers you may socially chat even with the fastidious Earl of Chesterfield, and lounging under a tree enjoy the divinest intimacy with my late lord of Verulam.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“The first glance at History convinces us that the actions of men proceed from their needs, their passions, their characters and talents; and impresses us with the belief that such needs, passions and interests are the sole spring of actions.”
—Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (17701831)
