Development and Design

The B.III was a development of the successful B.I and B.II. The pilots downward view was improved by adopting the wing layout of the Nieuport aircraft. The fuselage was similar to the predecessors, semi-monocoque with wooden longerons and formers covered by plywood. The undercarriage was unchanged.
