Alan Tate (footballer)

Alan Tate (born 2 September 1982) is an English footballer who plays for Leeds United on loan from Swansea City. Tate began his career at Manchester United, but struggled to break into the first team and went on loan to United's Belgian feeder club, Royal Antwerp, and then Swansea, before joining the Welsh side permanently in 2004. He captained Swansea for much of the 2009–10 season as a result of regular captain Garry Monk's frequent injuries and suspensions.
