Al Kauthar Institute - History

History

AlKauthar Institute was designed and developed to cater for predominantly English-speaking Muslims, with its refreshingly delivered and highly structured courses, designed to impart maximum benefit within one weekend. This makes it ideal for the working professional, or those who lead busy lives and are otherwise engaged during the week, for both males and females. Students are encouraged to work with AlKauthar's sister organisation - Mercy Mission - which provides them with the opportunity to follow knowledge with action and the means to give back to their local communities. With a focus firmly on correct knowledge and sincere action AlKauthar aims to provide our students with the tools to become model Muslim citizens.

The first AlKauthar course to be delivered was Mark of a Jurist, in Sydney, in February 2006. Since then it has grown rapidly and has a student fraternity of over 50, 000 students worldwide.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

There is one great fact, characteristic of this our nineteenth century, a fact which no party dares deny. On the one hand, there have started into life industrial and scientific forces which no epoch of former human history had ever suspected. On the other hand, there exist symptoms of decay, far surpassing the horrors recorded of the latter times of the Roman empire. In our days everything seems pregnant with its contrary.
    Karl Marx (1818–1883)

In all history no class has been enfranchised without some selfish motive underlying. If to-day we could prove to Republicans or Democrats that every woman would vote for their party, we should be enfranchised.
    Carrie Chapman Catt (1859–1947)

I believe that in the history of art and of thought there has always been at every living moment of culture a “will to renewal.” This is not the prerogative of the last decade only. All history is nothing but a succession of “crises”Mof rupture, repudiation and resistance.... When there is no “crisis,” there is stagnation, petrification and death. All thought, all art is aggressive.
    Eugène Ionesco (b. 1912)
