In 2010, Universitas Airlangga was ranked 466th worldwide according to Top 500 QS World University Rankings 2010, ranked 86th Top 200 QS Asian University Rankings 2011 (third in Indonesia after University of Indonesia and Gadjah Mada University). In the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities 2011, Universitas Airlangga was placed in fourth in Indonesia and 22nd in the Southeast Asia region.

The Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Medicine are life science schools in Airlangga University, ranked 45th in Asia and 356th in the world by QS World University Rankings 2011. International and national scientific conferences have been held by those two faculties.
