Air Products & Chemicals - Corporate Responsibility

Corporate Responsibility

On March 4, 2010, Corporate Responsibility Magazine named Air Products to its 100 Best Corporate Citizens List, a top ranking of corporate responsibility leaders based on publicly available information. Companies were selected from among the large-cap Russell 1000 based on seven categories: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial performance and governance. Data was provided by IW Financial, an environmental, social and governance firm. The methodology is governed by the Corporate Responsibility Officers Association, a professional society focused on advancing corporate responsibility within companies worldwide.

Air Products has a strong emphasis on safety, placing it at a higher priority than both profits and sales. Their recordable incidents show a clear downward trend over the last five years, likely as a result of this policy.

Famous quotes containing the word corporate:

Power, in Case’s world, meant corporate power. The zaibatsus, the multinationals ..., had ... attained a kind of immortality. You couldn’t kill a zaibatsu by assassinating a dozen key executives; there were others waiting to step up the ladder; assume the vacated position, access the vast banks of corporate memory.
    William Gibson (b. 1948)
