  • air flute - for flute (or piccolo);
  • air xylophone - for the xylophone;
  • air trumpet - for trumpet (as opposed to car/boat air trumpet horns);

Famous quotes containing the words air and/or instrument:

    The evergreen woods had a decidedly sweet and bracing fragrance; the air was a sort of diet-drink, and we walked on buoyantly in Indian file, stretching our legs.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    People of talent resemble a musical instrument more closely than they do a musician. Without outside help, they produce not a single sound, but given even the slightest touch, and a magnificent tune emanates from them.
    Franz Grillparzer (1791–1872)
