Age Ain't Nothing But A Number (song)

"Age Ain't Nothing but a Number" is a song by American singer Aaliyah, written and produced by R. Kelly for her debut album of the same name (1994). Its lyrics tell the story of a girl wanting to date an older boy, saying that their ages don't matter.

It was released as the third single (and final single in the United States) from the album and became her first single in the U.S. to miss the top spot, peaking at number 75 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number 32 on the UK Singles Chart.
