After Extra Time (album) - After Extra Time

After Extra Time

Tracks 1-16 29:29
The title of the album is inspired by the way Nyman's wife's rare first name, Aet, often appears in football scores, signifying "after extra time". The piece was written in two layers, one in 1995, and one in 1996, which could be said to represent two teams. The piece is also the basis for another work, "HRT ", which was included by Relâche on their album, Pick It Up in 1997.

Famous quotes containing the words extra and/or time:

    But that beginning was wiped out in fear
    The day I swung suspended with the grapes,
    And was come after like Eurydice
    And brought down safely from the upper regions;
    And the life I live now’s an extra life
    I can waste as I please on whom I please.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

    Once I built a railroad, made it run,
    Made it race against time ...
    Now it’s done,
    Buddy, can you spare a dime?
    Yip Harburg (1898–1981)
