AE-COPSD European Police Cross of Honor - Achievement Methods

Achievement Methods

The European Policeman Cross of Honor is normally awarded by a committee. If not nominated by a member of the awards committee, they look into the candidate's service history. The committee must have documentation on official unit or department letter head (preferable with an ink stamp), stating that the candidate does not have any negative remarks on their service record. It must be written by the candidates section chief.
The committee decisions are firm and irrevocably.

Famous quotes containing the words achievement and/or methods:

A two-year-old can be taught to curb his aggressions completely if the parents employ strong enough methods, but the achievement of such control at an early age may be bought at a price which few parents today would be willing to pay. The slow education for control demands much more parental time and patience at the beginning, but the child who learns control in this way will be the child who acquires healthy self-discipline later.
    Selma H. Fraiberg (20th century)

We are lonesome animals. We spend all our life trying to be less lonesome. One of our ancient methods is to tell a story begging the listener to say—and to feel—”Yes, that’s the way it is, or at least that’s the way I feel it. You’re not as alone as you thought.”
    John Steinbeck (1902–1968)
