The general funds total of 2006–2007 for Adams 12 Five Start Schools was $279,793,754. Most revenue sources came from state and local forces with the state at the top at 58.90%. Most of the districts' expenditures went to salaries, benefits, and the districts' charter schools with salaries at the top at 53.31%. Hardly any expenditures were distributed towards supplies and capitol outlay with only 2.94% of the total funds going to new supplies and materials. For the 2011-2012 school year, Adams 12 cut 30 million dollars from its budget, resulting in larger class sizes, no more middle school sports, and the cut of funding of clubs.
